They Lie In Wait

I've a tendency to go nuts over book sales and VCD sales. Thus my list of things to read and movies to watch grows every week and I just don't make time to read or watch these shiznit. I suck. Haha.

Reading materials:

  • Mozart's Sister (Nancy Moser) - I really do find this interesting, but I'm not even halfway through.
  • Circus of the Damned (Laurell K. Hamilton) - I only know Dracula and the Anne Rice kind of vampires, so I'm curious about the kind of vampires in this horror/mystery.
  • My Passionate Mother (Judy Feiffer) - Two men fall in love with one woman and they all decide to enter into an arrangement. Methinks I should read this next.
  • An Ordinary Man (Paul Rusesabagina, Tom Zoellner) - Autobiography of the man whose story became the basis of the Oscar-nominated movie Hotel Rwanda. I haven't seen the movie and I'm still not sure I'm ready to see it, but I think I'm ready to read this book.
  • Bulletproof Girl (Quinn Dalton) - A collection of stories "powered by a rich mix of women's voices." More girl power stuff.
  • Now Is The Time To Open Your Heart (Alice Walker) - I hate the title, but I read good reviews about it so I'm giving it a chance. Besides, it's from the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Color Purple, someting I've never read (nor seen). Hah.
Movies schmovies:
  • Akira Kurosawa's Dreams - I've seen Rashomon and I thought it was pretty cool. I'm curious about this one. Yes, I'm trying to be "in" with film die-hards.
  • The Fiddler on the Roof - I watched this when I was a child and I know I liked it. I can't remember much though that's why I want to watch it again.
  • Edward Scissorhands - Same thing with Fiddler on the Roof.
  • Singing Behind Screens - This is another one of those interesting films that they don't really show on the big screens.

Bah.
