Some Things On My Mind Today

  • I want to learn how to make clothes. Seriously. I happen to like altering some of my clothes. I've done simple alterations like turn a t-shirt into a sleeveless tee, pants into cut-offs, a skirt into a top and a sash thing (which I never used). I'm currently working on making a baby doll tee from a big shirt. I want to learn basic sewing just so my "alterations" would look neater and well-executed. I also have a couple of dresses I want to modify and I don't want to make mistakes that can't be fixed. I've already done some research on some of the fashion schools in Manila that offer short courses and I have my list of options. It's just a matter of deciding whether I really feel the need to take these classes. Sometimes I feel that maybe I just need a good sewing machine.
  • I realized today that everytime I meet new people, specifically men, I tend to check for a wedding ring. What's up with that? I also realized that I don't like being the recipient of drunk texting. It makes me wonder why I don't get anything when the texter's sober.
  • I watched Fun Taiwan with Janet Hsieh on Discovery Travel and Living yesterday. The episode featured the hip hop scene in Taiwan and they had Janet perform with a hip hop group in one of their street performances. The whole thing had that busy-street-at-night look that I loved in HK and Bangkok. After watching the show I wished for 3 things: to have that job, to speak Chinese, and to go to Taiwan.
  • I also caught a bit of Miami Ink on Travel and Living during the weekend. I love and hate watching that show. I love watching it because I love watching their clients' tattoos come to life. I hate it because it just makes me more obsessed in my mind.
  • I've been winning little things lately like free goodies and free movie passes. I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing differently this year. Maybe I'm more positive this year in some way. Maybe if I positively wish hard enough, I'll win free concert tickets or maybe even a free trip.

Hahaha. I don't think I'm that creative. Haha. I shall be content with "fixing" my things. :P

This post begs the question...and who drunk texts you? Hmmm? Eenteresting! (P.S. It's only coz he/she doesn't have the guts to do it when he/she's sober. Taray mo kasi eh. Haha.)

Miami Ink...I had a little crush on Ami last year. But I have moved on. Haha. A friend had his tat done by Nunez (see http://teesyah.multiply.com/photos/album/23/Reunited#8). I love Garver's work.:)
